Babies have very distinct personalities even from very little. Some babies are quiet and laid back. Others are active and demanding. Still others are a mixture of both at different times. The key to successful parenting is to adjust your rhythms to the personality of your baby.
If your baby doesn’t seem to respond quickly, slow down but be persistent in making eye contact. If you baby is very demanding, move more quickly and do more active things with her. The key is engagement. How long can you keep your baby’s attention? Make it longer and longer every week.
