Baby Steps

Benefits of  Baby Steps

Communication

No one knows your baby as well as you, so it is important that our teachers partner with you to foster a relationship built on trust and open communication.   Parents are provided with details about their child’s day.

 A Primary Caregiver

Infants are assigned a primary teacher who will build a loving relationship with them.  Babies typically stay with their teacher for a full 12 months before moving to the next classroom. This allows plenty of time for bonds to be formed between the teacher and the child.   We provide a maximum ratio of 4 to 1 to ensure there are many opportunities for one-on-one time with each infant.

 Individualized Learning Experiences

Our specifically trained teachers design individual lesson plans using our literacy-rich curriculum and research-based active learning experiences that support emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.  This promotes brain development and allows infants to learn about the world around them.

Sign Language and Baby Yoga

In our Baby Steps program, your child will be introduced to the basics of American Sign Language, and elements of Baby Yoga.   Periodic assessments grant teachers and families the opportunity to evaluate a baby’s growth and progression, and to share in the joy as they reach their next stage of development.

 A Loving Environment

We truly believe children learn best in a loving environment.  We implement this philosophy into everything we do, from the materials in the classroom to loving interactions.   In our Baby Steps program, infants will take their first steps down the path to a lifetime of learning.
