Susan Albicker is the Director of Private School Operations for Minnieland Private Day School, Inc.   She supervises the operations, programming and curriculum development for our private schools which encompass preschool through middle school programs. The Merit Schools of Prince William and Stafford, Manassas Christian Academy and Manassas Christian School comprise this division which has been a member of the Minnieland family for the past 25 years. Susan is a career educator, with 35 years of teaching and administrative experience in early childhood and elementary education programs.   She received her Bachelor and Master of Education degrees from Temple University, and has continued her education through postgraduate studies in curriculum development and leadership.  She has been employed by Minnieland since 1984.

During her career with Minnieland, Susan has served as a school director, program director for the child care and private school divisions and project manager our School Age Care program.  She has acted as an interim center director, school principal, substitute teacher, and staff trainer.  She has instituted an array of curriculum programs including Math Their Way, Building Language for Literacy, Handwriting Without Tears, Saxon Math, and Words Their Way. 
Susan has overseen the division’s IT development, which includes the installation of school networks and instructional software, internet access for instruction, e-mail access for home-school communication, and the design of teacher websites that involve parents and students in their daily learning as well as knowledge of their current grades. 

Susan resides in Woodbridge, Virginia with Bob, her husband of 25 years.  Their daughters, Katherine and Kristen, are students at The Medical College of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University respectively.
