Montessori For Three Year Olds

What Montessori parents are saying:

“My child is in the Montessori Program and I could not be happier.  She has learned so much in this class. “

“We would like to thank you for always being so kind to our family and loving to our children.  We have seen their tremendous growth and development while at your Montessori Program. “

“My favorite Montessori event so far has been the Q&U Wedding!! The best part was that parents, students, and teachers all participated in some way – between costumes and decorations to practicing and reciting lines, we all took part in making this a successful event.”

 Benefits of Montessori

The Montessori Classroom

The Montessori learning laboratory is in an orderly, focused, and calm environment  for your child to learn and grow. Through the use of the  Montessori manipulatives, your child will develop an understanding of the “why” behind the concepts being taught. Learning takes place in a mixed age group setting, individually and in small groups.

The Montessori Teacher

The trained Montessori teacher is the facilitator of learning. This wonderful, caring individual is the link between your child, the prepared environment, and the subjects being taught. This personalized attention encourages your child to gain the confidence to explore the Montessoriequipment.

Areas of Study

Gaining independence, your child will be motivated and challenged through self-directed and purposeful activities. Areas of study include practical life, sensorial, geography, science, language arts, mathematics, and art. Creativity is fostered in the study of art. Your child will experience the opportunity to use a wide variety of art mediums to paint, sculpt, weave, and construct.

The Outdoor Classroom

Activities in the outdoor classroom foster learning in a natural setting. In addition, your child has the opportunity to play, run, and climb on the playground equipment designed to encourage gross motor development. Here, in the outdoor classroom, your child will learn to garden and tend to the fruits and vegetables planted as a seedling and nurtured to a mature plant.

Family Involvement

Our Montessori community includes the child, parent, and educator. Working together in concert, the Montessori program will provide your child with the opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential in an environment that respects the child as an individual and also as a member of the school family.
