Week June 20-24   Theme:  #abetterme             

This week the campers will begin the summer with getting to know one another and talking about what makes them unique.

  • Monday-Spirit Day (Wear You Camp Shirt)
  • Tuesday- Self-Portrait Paintings
  • Wednesday- Splash Day
  • Thursday-Crazy Hair Day
  • Friday- Camp Kick-Off Party

Week June 27-July 1       Theme: #nurturenature

This week the campers will explore the great outdoors. The activities will include a visit to Pocahontas State Park for outdoor hiking and nature classes as well as our annual Mud Day celebration.

  • Monday- Painting Flower Pots
  • Tuesday- Field Trip/Pocahontas State Park & Picnic Lunch 9:30-1:30
  • Wednesday- International Mud Day & Pool 11-1:30
  • Thursday- Making Garden Stones
  • Friday- Pool 11-1:30

Week July 4-8         Theme:  #yoga

This week the campers will discover their physical capabilities and ways of relaxing their minds through the art of yoga.  A yoga instructor will visit to teach the students different yoga poses and meditation techniques.

  • Tuesday- Yoga Instructor Visits The School @ 10:00
  • Wednesday- Pool 11-1:30
  • Thursday- Making Tie Dye Shirts
  • Friday- Pool 11-1:30

Week July 11-15        Theme: #goinggreen

This week the campers will talk about what it takes to create a cleaner environment. They will use recycled materials for their art projects and create their own inventions in our recycled inventor’s lab. The students will also visit Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. There will also be a representative from CVWMA visiting the school to talk to the students about recycling.

Week July 18-22   Theme: #survivor

This week the campers will see what it takes to be a survivor out in the wilderness. A representative from Stretch-and-Grow will lead the kids through a mini-boot camp with some high energy team games.  The 3rd-5th graders will visit Camp High Roads in Middleburg, Virginia for a fun day of archery, canoeing, ropes courses and much, much more! The students who stay back will enjoy other obstacle course events at the school.

Week July 25-29      Theme: #expressyourself

This week the campers will have the opportunity to show off their personal style and creativity. The activities will include painting masks, a paint-a-long class by an established artist and an invitation to attend our Art Gallery for the parents.

  • Thursday- Art Gallery (5pm)
  • Friday- Pool 11-1:30

Week August 1-5     Theme: #comingtogether

This week the camper will discover what it takes to work as a team and learn how to be empathetic. They will participate in different team building activities to promote a good working relationship. The activities will include a visit to Westchester Commons Stadium 16 to see the movie ICE AGE and Twins Days.

Week August 8-12         Theme: #healthyme

This week the campers will explore their healthier side with plenty of opportunities for physical fitness and cooking projects. They will visit the Art Factory for a “Glow Dance Party” which is sure to get them moving and compete in a kid version of Iron Chef.

  • Thursday- Jr. Iron Chef Challenge
  • Friday- Pool 11-1:30

Week August 15-19     Theme: #givingback

This week the campers will focus on good citizenship and community service. They will begin the week with a food drive for the Central Virginia Food Bank. The K-2nd graders will travel to the Williamsburg area to visit the Virginia Living Museum and Mariner’s Museum for a day of fun. The students will also host a car wash with the proceeds going to a local non-profit organization.

  • Wednesday- Pool 11-1:30
  • Thursday- Designing A Parent Coupon Book
  • Friday- Pool 11-1:30

Basketball Camp will be held this week for students 8-12 years old, pre-registration is required. The cost is $50 per student and will include a keepsake basketball.


Week August 22-26              Theme: #braingames

This week the campers will test their knowledge with some fun brain teasers. They will also visit our Woodlake location for a fun game truck experience.

  • Friday- Are You Smarter Than A Six Grader Challenge…..Students Vs. The Teachers?

Week August 29-September 2            Theme: #movingforward

This week the campers will wrap up the summer with some reflection and team building activities. The Kona Ice truck will visit for a sweet treat and they will travel to our Woodlake location for the End of Summer Social.
